A Not-So-Unusual Michael Acoustic Special "Links" Post!
The links are piled high - but I'm catching up today!
Today, some links to articles and posts that I’ve received from various folks and publications I follow that may be valuable to my readers. Also, some of these links may be repeats from the Regular Friday Posts that I haven’t cleared out from my Safari page for a while…sorry, but not really that sorry….
Some Stuff:
Some SubStack writers I follow and highly recommend to my readers (definitely an “off the top of my head” list and I know I missed some important folks and I’ll fix it next time!):
Ed. Last week I featured mostly music oriented Substack writers, but there is a whole other universe of writers on Substack that are great to read as well, I feature some of them today, along with some of the other music writers I follow.
John Hirst - A fiction writer serializing a crime drama about small town politics, people, and murder
The Vinyl Room - Andres writes about all things album oriented - great reference Substack!
If You Get Confused - David writes about albums, music, and baseball!
Japan Ordinary -photos- Fascinating Substack featuring the sometimes unappreciated side of daily life and commonplace scenes in Japan
100 Stories By Adam Nathan - An extraordinary “must read” Substack
The Art Of Cover Art - A Substack by Rachel Cabitt - the title says it all…
A Constellation - By Olivia Rafferty - “a songwriter, note-taker and observer”. Also she has a podcast and an album out…
The Lost Songs Project - By Mark Blankenship - “remember, replay, and go really deep on forgotten hit songs”
Tell Me How This Ends - Chris Bray writes about politics and current events from a certain point of view
Ed. - enough for today, but I’ll feature more great Substack writers in the next “links” edition!
Weekly Music Business Worldwide Roundup
(Ed. These guys kinda annoyed me this week, but apparently their abacus reset and I can actually read them again….)

From Carvin Audio:
From The Disc Makers Blog:
From Blues Guitar Unleashed/Griff Hamlin:
Slapback Delay - The number one, go-to effect IMHO - if you don’t have any other pedals, get a delay pedal for this!

Another Of This Week’s Conversations With Mika, The Cat:
Ed. I hate it when she does this. She’ll suddenly stop (in this case I was petting her, but could be any time) and stare at the ceiling, sometimes even sitting up on her back legs. Nothing there, no bugs or light reflection, or noises, or anything. Just stops and stares at “something” or “nothing” that I can’t see or isn’t there. “Psychic vampires” is my guess, but who knows, she might just be messing with me on purpose….
Cheers and keep playing!!

Thank you so much, Michael, for the signal boost. Much appreciated!
Great stuff!
