Welcome To A Special Saturday Post!

For Today

So here in The Upper Left Corner (OK, Spokane, Washington - where I live…), it’s been a very difficult week - the wildfires have left thousands homeless, others unable to return to their intact homes. The smoke is still thick in the air (even here, and I am 30ish miles from the fire sites - this time…). Many are wondering when, even if, they’ll be able to return to homes that weren’t lost or damaged in the fires. The one bright spot is, so far, no fatalities…at least that have been announced so far….

A huge thank you to our local fire crews and powerline workers from Spokane County and several surrounding cities and counties, and..

…A very special thank you to firefighters and powerline workers from many surrounding states - Idaho, California, Oregon, Colorado…(those are just the states I’ve heard of on the news - there may be more… possibly from our northern neighbors, Canada - not sure, and they’re fighting their own fires!)

Also, and especially, at least one fire crew that came here all the way from…Australia!! Thank you!!
