A Thursday Post

Thank You!!

Today’s Thursday post is a little different. I started this Substack just over 2 years ago, and it’s been a blast. At the time I was doing Thursday posts as sort of “teasers” for the Friday posts where most of the writing occurred. I then changed to a specific theme for Thursdays: songwriting, recording, production and commercial release, with playing and theory the themes on Fridays.

Last week I ran a couple of polls, which were pretty much inconclusively tied, but that made things a little easier for me. I’ve been considering going to just one post a week as I’ve let some of my other projects slide, and of course life in general.

So - I decided, at least for now to reduce to just a Friday post covering the previous Thursday topics and the Friday topics of guitar playing and music theory as well.

Mika, the Cat will remain of course!! One reason for a short post today is she had her vet appointment yesterday - a checkup and some immunizations - she’s fine….but she’s a little cranky and out of sorts today. So bonus pic - that’s her licking a drop or two of ice cream off a spoon - seemed to help her mood a bit…

I think for now the Friday posts will not be limited to a single subject, at least if there’s not a single topic that needs the entire email length to write, in which case I may make it a special edition on another day.
