The world lost one of the greats yesterday - condolences to his family.
Jeff Beck was an innovative user of electric guitar effects, and an early experimenter of “fuzz box” distortion pedals. This seemed appropriate today:

Some surprising results on where to spend your song release promotion funding (and yes, you need to spend time and money promoting your songs!). I always like Mr. Van Veen’s commentary, and yes he’s in the business of selling you CDs to hawk at your merch table, but he always has a pretty honest take on things (pretty refreshing in this industry!):
Soundfly is one of the sites I subscribe to because they provide interesting commentary and advice while trying to sell their courses. I get that, and as I’ve said before, providing something interesting with what are essentially sales pitch emails will at least get my attention, even if I’m not in a buying mood right now. Good stuff here:
