Retrospective #7: An Index of Posts on Michael Acoustic
Posts 25-29 - Copyrights, metadata, publishing admins, distributors, the MLC; a couple of cool interviews; royalties equal money, mostly; practice, warmups, rehearsal and playing, Acapella.
This is the seventh in a series of posts that “index” some topic groupings over the past year of Michael Acoustic. I’m only including the main Friday posts, not the Thursday “teaser” posts. All posts in chronological order can be found at the Archive.
Post #25 - Copyright everything! Composer rights (two parts: composing rights - you/cowriters and publishing rights - your publishing business entity) did I mention copyrights? Metadata (with suggestions). Publishing adminitrators and distributors. The Mechanilcal Licensing Collective (MLC). Record labels. Lawyers and accountants!
Posts #26 and #27 - Parts I and II of my interview with Brad Kyle, writer of the fabulous “Front Row and Backstage” SubStack.
Post #28 - Royalties. Royalties are money, though it’s not simple.
Post #29 - Practicing, rehearsing, warmups, playing with others on Acapella (including an Acapella I did with some VERY talented musicians). Some links.
Cheers and keep playing!
