Rando Lyric: I will give some worn down excuse
Welcome to The Regular Friday post!
Whole lotta George This week…
Although George Harrison's birth certificate lists his birthday as 25th February, some sources claim he was actually born on 24th February shortly before midnight…
“If you said happy birthday to George, on the 24th, he would say, "It’s not my birthday", but if you said it on the 25th, he would say, "you missed it" - Various sources….
Last week’s rando lyric: “What I know I can do” is from the song “What Is Life” written and performed by George Harrison. It was released in 1970 as Track 1 on Side 2 of the triple disc album “All Things Must Pass” by George Harrison on the Apple Records label. Released as a single in February 1971.
Produced by David Zonshine, Phil Spector & George Harrison

Some Stuff:

You can’t help but like all of The Beatles, but if I had to pick one (and fortunately I don’t) George Harrison would stand out for me…
A Song To Play:
4/4 common time, a brisk 130 BPM, Key of E - lots of repetition - I think (without knowing of course) Mr. Harrison wanted a bit more focus on the lyrics with a big, but repetitious, instrumental track behind those lyrics. [Verse 1]
What I feel, I can't say
But my love is there for you anytime of day
But if it's not love that you need
Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed
[Chorus]
Tell me, what is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
[Verse 2]
What I know, I can do
If I give my love now to everyone like you
But if it's not love that you need
Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed
[Chorus]
Tell me, what is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
Tell me, what is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
[Verse 1]
What I feel, I can’t say
But my love is there for you anytime of day
But if it’s not love that you need
Then I’ll try my best to make everything succeed
[Chorus]
Tell me, what is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
Oh, tell me, what is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
[Outro]
What is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
Oh tell me, what is my life without your love?
Tell me, who am I without you by my side?

This song always makes me happy. Happy birthday to the wonderful Mister H.
"What Is Life?" is my favorite tune among George's solo tracks.
