Right? I kinda get it from the lawyer’s perspective (I used to be one…) - the idea is plead everything, keep your appeal options open - if you happen to get a sympathetic judge it might be easier to settle and get something out of it, even if you know it’ll get bumped on appeal - sometimes ya get lucky!
