David Bowie was one of my faves all through his career.

Agree - I didn’t realize he was such a prolific songwriter - I aways just thought of him as a performer. Really extensive catalog.

I really enjoy playing a Bowie set of songs on the guitar 🎸

We did “Heroes” at a jam I was at recently as the finale. At least 10 guitarists, keys, drums - a blast

lol those Jazz guys just do whatever they want.

I love David Bowie, though this is one of my least favorites of his big ones. I do like the chords. Something very hopeful sounding about them in the chorus when it shifts from the sadder line to the hero’s line.

The Wallflowers did it better.

Mika, let him breathe!

I read your comment to her. You’ve unfortunately now been added to the incredibly long list of people and things she ignores. Sorry.

Oh no! Tell her I share a home with a male cat. Will that make a difference?

She asked what a male cat is….

We haven’t actually had “the talk” yet……

I don't want to interfere in your relationship. Never mind! (I haven't had that talk either.)

Mike, this is amazing, going into the weeds on “Heroes” is super fun. The difference in verse length is why we fell apart in our performance of this song a month ago. The massive shift to the C chord, several folks went to it early in that longer verse, screwed everything up, but no biggee huge fun anyway! I hope King Crimson is not done touring. Robert Fripps solo is part of what made me fall in love with this song. I’m practicing it in these weeks so I can play it next year.
