Set on you, 80s George Harrison. Is top post- Beatles George, and I will not be taking criticism on that statement at this time. Signed, a geriatric millennial.

I can just see the five Wilburys, surrounding the mics in the studio while recording "Handle With Care" ... Roy Orbison steps up for his vocals ... and the others drop their cans, mutter to themselves and walk away.

I especially liked George Harrison’s reasoning - get 5 great musicians together and jam, have fun and write songs, coincidentally make some hit records. Contrast that with the article further down about Led Zepplin - “we weren’t friends”. Musicians don’t have to be, but it’s totally cool when they are and great things happen

The Led Zep story was fun. I was in a band for a couple of years - practiced every Friday for 3 hours. We were not great, were not professionals, were not best friends. In fact I never hung around or even phoned/texted when we weren't playing. Interesting dynamic. Playing in that band was one of the highlights of my life during those 2 years in that small town - Airdrie, Alberta. We moved and that was it. I still miss the Friday jams and the guys after 4 years.

Playing with the guys last week in the street music thingy was a great refresher on how cool playing with a group you know can be, especially when it comes out pretty well with minimal rehearsal time.

That's awesome. Good musicians make it all a bit more fun.

Love that Wilburys album. I never knew Handle With Care might have been lost as a b-side!

Cool story all around - I especially like how five artists can just disregard the potential monetary rewards for just having a great time playing music together.
