Thanks for the shout out! Glad the earworm didn’t send you running but instead was turned into new content! In terms of your new quote (which I haven’t figured out) it is a great prompt idea. To post about what concerts we attended that we wish we could have gotten our money back. Could lead to a lively discussion!
Yeah, Croce with a second guitarist and a stand-up drummer. He had a beat old Fender amp and the most basic PA. No props ... just two guys sitting in chairs on a bare concrete stage. Stronger voice than I had thought. Then again, it was 50 years ago. :-O
He’s always been one of my favorites - gone too soon
“Rapid Roy” made me laugh every time and when I was reading the “Crazy As A Loon” lyrics it triggered the memory of “Rapid Roy”. Probably never know now if Mr. Prine was thinking of it, but wouldn’t surprise me a bit (by the way I saw Mr. Prine in concert about a year before his passing - that was a sad day).

I actually saw Jim Croce give a free concert in the amphitheater in Balboa Park in San Diego, summer of 1973.
I'm dating myself, aren't I? (Loki says hi to Mika)
Lucky!!
