I hear you. I am not familiar enough with Dudek so will look into that catalogue....

Passion should really rule over external rewards, as helpful as money can be in this world.

Good point. So far I’ve managed to insulate myself from external rewards….

I have to be honest, not a big fan of this particular song but looking forward to listening to the playlist and checking out the other links after I rest this weekend.

I understand and no troubles! I usually select songs that have interesting structural, lyrical, rhythmic or some other musical whatnot. This one was chosen in part for the structure - the no chorus approach and how the transitions were handled make it interesting, and a relatively easy song for beginning/intermediate players to grasp. It's a 70s song and having the the 70s as the decade I "came of age" can be...different. There was a lot of post-Beatles, Stones whatnot that was chaotic as Americans (especially) learned we were not bound by our parent's musical rules. "Chaotic" may even be too kind, frankly a lot of it was pure shite, but good MUSICIANS were treasures. Les Dudek's gifts may have been more as an extraordinary as a guitarist, but everyone was trying anything that was new and bold mostly for the same reasons: money and fame.

Thanks for the Les Dudek post this morning. It's never a bad time to spin some Les!
